In addition, early dog violet and the first flowering Foxgloves growing on farmhouse’s lane are encouraged by reducing competing grass and brambles.

On the bank at the back of the farmhouse, efforts promote biodiversity. A primrose taken from a cluster growing at a pasture ditch is replanted to join other wildflowers, including buttercups. The buttercups’ sustainability is encouraged by selective mowing.

Years of ivy and brambles are removed from row of hawthorns growing alongside ditch leading to river allowing the flowers to burst forth!
