In order to stay at Carrowcullen the Old Irish Farmhouse, your dog must be walked on a lead. Ultimately, the owner reserves the to decide whether the dog breed is appropriate for a working farm. Please contact the owner when booking as a guest.
In addition, the enclosed but not dog-proof hedge and sheep-fenced area around the house provides an opportunity to excercise your dog, under supervision. Moreover, seating around the farmhouse enhances guests’ experiences with their dogs.

Using Carrowcullen, the Old Irish Farmhouse as a base, local destinations are conveniently reached nearby by way of the N59 These include the beach Dunmoran Strand (8 minute drive). Slightly further are the beach and cliff side walks at Aughris Head (13 minutes) and Easkey (14 minutes drive). In the other direction off the N59 are Streamstown (15 minute drive) on Ballysadare bay and Ballysadare river walks (18 minutes). These offer a dog-friendly walking on your way to other destinations.
